Borer in floor and walls
During the current reno I've discovered some borer damage in hoop pine flooring and walls. Some floor boards were soft enough that I could push a screwdriver straight through. The damaged floor boards will get replaced before sanding and coating them, but the walls are a different issue. To me this looks like old damage as it has been painted over several times. How do I determine if there is still activity "in there" and is it okay to just keep painting over it , or should I treat and/or replace the damaged areas ASAP?
