linishall 8" bench grinder
I've just bought one of these and mounted it on a good spot on the bench
first time I turned it on it vibrated the whole shed with things falling off shelves etc
as it was slowing down I noticed a wobble of 1-2mm sideways on the finer wheel which I thought was the culprit, the other wheel is running true
after removing the same wheel the grinder didn't vibrate at all even with wire brush fitted
I swapped the wheels from one side to the other and it appears to be the shaft or flanges creating the wooble rather than the wheels
does this seem normal considering the 6" grinder I replaced didn't vibrate at all

You can check the shafts out by placing something like a a large try square on the bench with the bade vertical and just touching a shaft, Rotate the other shaft by hand and look for a gap between shaft and blade. If the gap is very small you can measure the gap either side of the shaft with a feeler gauge. If the shaft is bent this is near impossible to correct.
Sideways wobble can be corrected by using wobble washers - do a search for "wobble washers for table saws:.
If you have access to a metal work lathe they are easy enough to make.
Here's some I made a few yeRS Bck
