Avalon
I'm currently restoring/rebuilding a 10m by 4m motor sailer that I believe to be have been originally built on the north coast of Tasmania as a working boat, in the late '40s.It has a 30ft solid oregon mast & what I have been told is a spruce boom. The engine was a Fordson Major with Parsons marine conversion.
I would like help with tracing its true origins.
I think originally it had only a foward cabin ( which was later extended to a full trunk cabin by the original builders ).
I found it at lake McQuarie ( & later under )many years ago, fell in love & it now resides in my shed in northern n.s.w
when I work out how to compress the photo's in my file to the right size I will post them.

There is a book called 'Tamar Boats' by Betty Percy which lists in some detail every boat built on and around the Tamar River (Northern Tasmanian Coast) since year dot. It's no longer in print but try some libraries.
Otherwise post the pics (try the resize function!) and I'm sure someone on here has some idea

This seems to be the (or a place) to go to, to resize your pictures, and even make an avatar for yourself, and it's free.
Buzza.
