Default Plan printing on the pc?

    Hei Folks,
Anyone know of a freebie app that would allow me to print plans section by section on A4 sheets.
    TIA

    Hei Guys,
It's plans for an R/C boat that I have in jpeg format.
I think poster printing is what I need which my printer will apprentley do but the manual says that enlarges as well as splits the image.

I need something that will keep the size exact because the dimensions are critical.
    Cheers

    Hei Harry,
I have Photoshop but only a demo version in which printing is disabled so I shall have to try and find a crack for it or find another way.

Ashore, the boat and the plan is about 1200mm overall and I need to print the length of it to get the bulkhead spacings, I have access to a couple of canon bubble jets but they only print A4.

I use Win2k - I will use XP or Mac but only when a large firearm is held against the side of my head.

    Cheers

Call up your freindly local consultant engineer. Maybe offer them a carton of beer. (Engineers can't resist free beer) They'll be able to plot it out for you at A0.
Short of that, get onto a P2P network and you'll be able to download autocad.

    What's 1200mm in pixels anyway?

Paul if you had the large firearm against your head I could have helped
Go with the Consultant Engineer or an architect or a home plan place as they will all have plotters much better than A4 sheets taped together
Sorry I couldn't help but never used win 2000 went straight from 95 to WP
Rgds and best of luck with the Boat

A picture is worth a thousand words, so it should be it uses up three thousand times the memory.

I just downloaded a key gen for photoshop - if that doesn't work I've been told cad software will do the job.

    Paul,

Go to your nearest Snap printer, who will enlarge it for $10-00. Stuffing around with A4 will not give good quality because of all the joins, plus the paper and ink will cost more than what they charge.

    Hei Joe,
I used snap once and they charge a $9 virus check fee for printing from disk - if worst comes to worst I'll go somewhere to get it done but I'll try and do it myself first.

    Cheers

Print it out, by using the 'fit to printer' setting on your printer and then have it photo copied by enlargement. I regularly have A0 plans copied in Wangara by them at $5-00 per copy.

With Photoshop, open your jpeg file and find out at what "dpi" its set at, then start a new file at the same dpi at A4 size(210mmx297mm). Then using the rectangular marquee tool select an area slightly bigger than A4 then using the move tool hold the alt key(copys)then simply click and drag the selected area to the new file. Repeat in sections with a new file each time until the whole jpeg has been covered/copied making sure that the new files overlap each other by several cm's.

If you really get stuck, send the file to me "[email protected]" and I'll split it up for you.
