    Default Easy Pinstriping

    Hi All,

Thought I would add something on pinstriping.

I build model locomotives and the last on was an 1890 Stirling Single. It had lots of pinstiping on it.

Played around with masking tape etc but result was shocking.

Went to an Art Supply shop to see what they had.

They had varying size tipped paint pens. They were only $5 each

Bought an Engineering compass that the pens will fit in. Compass was a bit dear $35 but will last a long time. Great for pinstriping curved sections and around wheel hubs

Pinstriped the boiler circumference using black and white pinstriping paint pens.

Here is a photo of the loco pinstriped.

Thoroughly recommend these pens as they are easy to use and do a pretty good job.

    Regards

    Keith
