Try this

Have some 000 steel wool and a small jar of turpentine handy in the shop. Before using the router, bandsaw, jointer or table saw. Use the steel wool and a small amount of turpentine to remove the stain on the blade teeth. It will only take you 10 – 15 seconds each time but the blade will cut better and last longer.

For a bandsaw blade:
Disconnect the power
Rotate the blade in the opposite direction
Hold the steel wool against the blade
Brush it with a few full rotations

I have been doing this in the last few weeks and the results are pretty positive. So do try.

Had sprayed hi temp silicone on the bandsaw blade but it still gummed up badly cutting green euc.

I am making a red cedar / Jarrah hall table right now.

I did not want to reply before I test it.

So, today I did and it works like wonder...one minute and I had clean blade...

But, it created another problem for me...SWMBO entered to the garage and when she saw me working with the steel wool, she said; "Oh, exactly on time, I have two pots...." and you know what was the end...
