    Default G'Day from the Sunny Coast

    I stumbled across this forum looking for instructions for a dowel jig I was given. A lovely forum member lightwood is helping me out there.

    I've really only just started out on my wood work journey, but I loved it years ago at school and lately I've been making equipment for my kids to assist with their disabilities (toilet steps, slopeboards, switch adapted mice etc). So far they are a bit rough, but do the job, and now i'm interested in trying different joints or dowels rather than using screws everywhere.

    There seems to be plenty of information and knowledgeable folk here if I get stuck.

    Welcome to the forum! Like you I am quite a new member, although I have been picking up valuable information from it for some time. Beware though - you can find yourself spending all your spare time finding the most useful tidbits and gems of knowledge here
