Take over my clients? ---> Making for retail
Family ill health has forced me to give up much of what I do for a while - 6 months or longer.
My business makes kids furniture and toys for a range of shops, plus a full range of aged care games/tools/things for another specialist retailer. All of which are in Melbourne, but your location is largely irrelevant.
I need someone to take the making off my hands. It involves making with pine, MDF and Ash. All the models are done with sketchups for every product.
It can get pretty busy and the turnover is good.
If you might be interested, please PM me and I'll advise the clients info and refer you to them. They have all been advised of my need to refer other makers... naturally they are bummed about this, but my hands are largely tied.

My website is woodPixel.com.au and the email is there under Contact.
There are about 15 different products already made with lots and lots more that need "product-ising". the clients are insatiable.
Finding clients and work isn't the problem, it's finding time. My wifes' brain tumour is progressing and putting a harsh squeeze on any available time.

So sorry to hear about this wP, although in your heart of heart's you know it is inevitable we all tend to hope for the best. Hope the time ahead is not too stressful for you and your wife, and that you have plenty of good support close by.
All the best, David.

Thanks everyone for the emails and IM's. It really isn't necessary. We've lived with this for a while now and the outcome is rather predictable. It truly is a cliche of "good days and bad weeks", but its true
I work hard when I work - I get In The Zone - and interruptions make me crazy. It doesn't suit my temperament
The last 6 weeks have been impossible, so I had a really good think about things. There is still a train load of things to do for other "Arty" jobs and I'll keep doing those, but working to a three-week deadline on commercial work is/was cramping up options severely.
There are 6 toy chains, several Etsy sellers, 2 direct-market sellers, 4 artists (who sell all over the place), plus the aged care business... 2 shop fitout companies (they will push you, always, but man-o-man are they lucrative) and 4 big direct retailers.
I'll reply to everyone and advise what the jig is and offer introductions. My clients are always easy to get on with - there are NO small makers out there and one only has to hand over 3 business cards to retailers to get 3 phone calls within a week.... fish in barrels.
Again, thanks for the well wishing... thanks for the kind thoughts all.
...
BTW, I raised this previously with the Moderators, but the forum needs a Keiretsu system and skill swapping board for jobs. Im a natural rain maker and can pull in 50 times more work than I could possibly do, it's so easy its ridiculous, it just needs a group of people to farm it all out to.....

Four more clients to hand over
Hi all, I've a further four clients that need to be taken over. All are real paying clients and the work is immediate.
The jobs are: market stands*, garden carts for the aged, "gelato style" carts, and production of small caravans as toys using a bent lamination.
Ill post the info on each job tonight and client info into a document link to google drive.
My email is [email protected] if you have questions.
There are 10-odd more clients to hand over, but I'll post those as the actual job comes in.
Im still doing commission fine boxes and my own range of things for sale as I can dictate my own hours on those.
* two types from different clients

Thinking of you, your wife and family. I know this has been inevitable for a long time but that doesn't make it any easier. If you need ANYTHING or someone to have a drink with, I can be there in about 2 hours.
