Prefinished Ironbark 10mm Flooring - any problems?
Hi, We have approx 50m2 of internal direct stick (for sound purposes) to get done and have our power outlets in the skirting boards, therefore we can't go 19mm.
We also don't want sanding done because we don't want the dust, or to be out of the house for a period of time.
Therefore - we are looking at Grey Ironbark 10mm solid pre-finished that comes from "wonderful floors" at Wonderfulfloor
Getting some "feedback" from places that don't sell prefinished solid - only engineered or t&g sanded.
Comments include - all solids not properly kiln dried, prefinished in China, gets into Oz and has issues
(a) prone to cupping/lengthening
(b) warranty issues that's why many places have stopped stocking
(c) not sealed properly at joints
Is there merit to this feedback, or is it someone trying to sell us what they stock - engineered or solid sanded only. I've looked at a sample on display and can live with the bevels at the join lines (actually quite like them).
Thanks.
