Battening Out a floor HELP! half concrete half floor boards
HI there,
We are renevating our kitchen / dining area it is a small area around 13m2 and is total area is 2.5m x 4.6m.
The house is on bearers and joise and half the area is cypress flooring and the other is a small slab of concrete.
The plan was to batten the whole area out and lay new cypress flooring over the top of the whole area.
I just am not sure of the type of battens size, spacing hard wood or softwood etc etc.??
I was told to use a membrane on the concrete to prevent against mositure and then lay the battens out
any advice on the process of the battens sizing etc would be help fun.
Regards Thanks
