using your neighbours sewerage
hello all
I am currently in the planning stages of a 'studio' (garage with a toilet)
I have a block which has a gully running through the middle of it cutting it in half. The house is at one end and the planned studio is at the other. The neighbours blocks have all been subdivided as our block has dual street frontage (front and back)
So the question that I have is that I would like to put a toilet in the studio, but for the pipework to go to the house it has to go down the block through the gully and back up to the house. Or does it?
Could I utilise the neighbours sewerage lines or do I need to connect to my own. I have seen houses in other areas that have some sort of pump at the front of the house which I think is because the house sits lower the then sewerage mains. Am I on the right path or am I way off...
Cheers
