Hi Guys,

I am basically a 30 something IT professional who builds "virtual" things all day (programming for a living) and looking for a hobby where I make real things.

The last time I used a woodworking tool was about 15 years ago in high school and I have forgotten most of that, so I am pretty much starting from scratch.

I am a very intense book reader so my first few projects will be bookshelves. Hoping to get started with the help of the forum!

enjoy the relaxation of working with wood and creating.
Check out the recycle yards for some of your timber supplies.
At least working in I.T.,
you should be able to work you way around the computer to find some good tool deals.
