Cypress Pine floorboards
Hi,
I want to coat my old cypress pine floorboards with a non toxic oil. They have never been coated as they were always carpeted. I need some advice on what would be best to use. I have information on a Natural Plant based wood oil - called Livos Ardvos oil (it's linseed based). Has anyone used this product? What about Tung oil. I want the floorboards to remain as natural in colour as possible not to turn into that golden yellow colour. Can someone advise?
Thanks
Sil

Hi Sil,
Tung oil has been a traditional floor coating and is probably one of the best oil finishes for floors I think. Pure Tung oil shouldn't colour the timber either
