G'day All from another mid life DIYer
Firstly let me say I'm really glad I came across this site. Apart from the plethora of knowledge that abounds is the fact that egos seem to be left in the workshop, unlike a lot of other internet forums.
I'm lucky in that over the years I've built up a nice little collection of good quality hand and power tools and recently bought my first welder, a CIGWELD 130 arc welder. Haven't tried anything fancy or important yet as I am just practicing on scrap steel striking and laying a bead. It's not going too bad and soon hope to start knocking up a frame from 20 or 25mm SHS as a cover for our pool pump and filter. Any advice on the tricks and traps of welding 16 guage tube would be appreciated.
Look fwd to joining in the conversations.
Cheers,
Karl

G'day Karlval and welcome to the land of the partially sane.
You are quite correct; we don't have egos because of an axe wielder who cowers all into submission. What we do have are strong opinions.
