has anyone had dealings with this Melbourne company
reason i ask is that on the 20/11/09 i paid for a bandsaw plus postage to queensland,i received an email on the 24th telling me it was posted , after waiting till the 7th of december i started to get a bit anxious so i rang them only to be told that they dont know why but it hasnt gone yet,it was still on the floor waiting to go,and that it will be posted , would you be happy with that sort of service ?,or am i over reacting , i have sent them emails ,rang melbourne 4 times,no replies whatsoever, i sure aint happy ,what would you do?, any suggestions.........bob

Certainly not the best service.
I do believe people are susceptible to make mistakes and some forgiveness/understanding should be given but they should also try to make it up to you I think the least they should do is pay for the freight but I see you have already paid for that
I would ask them for some sort of good will to prevent you informing the woodwork of there poor customer service community just be careful you only tell the facts
I had a similar but different thing happen recently when I had booked some concreter's to do some work but did not turn up and offered no form of retribution so now they do not get my recommendation and I know that has cost them potential $20,000 of work that I could have recommended them for. who is the goose
Good luckCheers Rum Pig

Bob,
I've had dealings with them through their Blackburn South store, albeit about 15 years ago. I bought my original compressor and nail gun from them as well as my first lathe.
Never had any problems with them but that was personal shopping. As I said they have been around for at least 15 years so they are not a fly by night operator.
I suggest you talk to them. Hope this helps.
Peter.

You are right to be concerned Bob> it should arrive in the next day or so. If not you might try Consumer affairs.

Hope all works out well in the end Bob. It shouldn't be a chore dealing with a company, but unfortunately it does turn out that way at times.
Cheers,
Ed

That's very poor.
Decide how you want this resolved (i.e. what you will be happy with) and then go get 'em.Cheers.

Robyn,
I work near them, if you need someone to help with face to face (like to inspect before shipping a replacement) give me a PM.
