Horsepower of variable speed fan
I can't find anywhere else obvious to put this question, so here it is.
I have a roof mounted, ducted evaporative cooling system. It has a continously variable speed fan, from min to max. My question is, how does the speed of the fan effect power usage of same?
So does reducing the speed of the fan, reduce the cost of running it. ie is the speed control reducing the effective HP of the motor?Chris
