Hi Nathan
I purchased mine from Carbatec at the wood show last year they placed them on the floor someone placed the wrong price on it $179 Was meant to be a special for the 1000SE however they placed the price on the box along with the Kit product number needless to say it was the only one they sold at that price & that was only after I pointed it out

That is certainly a good price. I just brought the 1000HD last weekend from Carbatec when it was on special, and I thought I got a good price there.
Not being an Amazon member, will they ship everything to Aus, or only certain items?Dallas

They do ship a fair bit but there is quite a large selection of stuff they dont unless you live in the US. I have been looking at getting around this for quite sometime and i beleive it was evanism here on the forum that got me onto Com gateway. There was a set of MLCS router bits that i wanted but could not get it here. I shipped it to com gateway and then i paid com gateway a small fee to send it my way. Free shipping between Amazon and com gateway as it was within the US
For some reason the Incra M/E is available to be shipped directly from amazon to my home address. Where as most of the woodworking gear i look at i cant get and need to use a forwarding service like com gateway
I was also looking at the mitre gauge from Carbatech but once i found it from amazon i just had make the purchase

Re: incra ME/1000SE
for those that own the M/E already, i own a contractor saw and as far as table surface goes left of the t-track i only have 35cm available. is this a problem? it looks like the typical saw these M/E are installed on are panel saw? anyone have this installed on a contractor saw? it looks like the sliding mdf panek of the M/E crosscut is wider than 35cm
i guess i could always make a little extension on the left of my saw anyway if needed

One of the steps to install the M/E is to cut the board to size so you get a zero clearance fit
I don't have a contractor saw however if you have 2 Miter grooves on your saw it will fit

my 1000HD is now on its way Should make the world of a difference compared to my original mitre guage that stutters when pushing and pulling. I decided to get the 1000HD for now and i have found Amazon are selling the Mitre Express cross cut sled without the 1000SE quite cheap also so i will get that at a later date. Will post up picks once arrives and is installed. I know you all have probably seen one before but im just so keen to use some Incra tools in my workshop and feel the difference
