Makita RP2301FC router review
I recently purchased a Makita RP2301FC router and here is a link to my thoughts on this tool. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B13...it?usp=sharing

Great Review - not so sure about musclechuck
Thanks for the review- very informative. But I am not convinced about the Musclechuck (MC). I have one for my Festool OF2200 (which btw is an excellent router). The MC certainly offers ease of use but mine has not lasted well. I am a light-weight router user so I did not expect that the MC would give any problems (and even espoused it to other router users) but it has failed me. The steel used in the chuck body seems pretty soft and it has grabbed onto the bit shafts and deformed even in my light-weight use (camphor laurel and Australian cedar) so that my US made top quality bits now stick in the chuck and have to be forced out. I have reverted to the Festool chuck - it works though a pain to reach the locking cam when the router is in the table.
Regards
David
