Matt Bowen is still a bloody good footy player!!

I think Wally needs to give up his name, Johns is the KING.

Try living in Qld and going for NSW, the last 3 weeks have been terrible. Thank god (Johnsy!!!) thats over.

I got my bottle of Rum back too!!!

    Cheers, Jack.

A couple of Queenslanders had a whinge to me about Johns only playing 1 game in 6 weeks and then being selected.
I said to them that if they had the best player in the world available they would have picked him too!!
They got all angry and fired up and then said that Johns is not the best player in the world.
    IMAGINE THAT!!!
Do these people not watch football? Of course he is!!!

I have never lived in NSW. I grew up in Tassie but as anyone with a hint of sports knowledge knows, Aussie Rules is a ridiculous game so I turned to Rugby. There is a bit of a lull in "the game played in heaven" at the moment so the second best type of football will have to do for now.
I love Queensland but found when I lived in Brisbane the Broncos fans were intollerable, now I live in Townsville and the Cowboys fans are the same. There was a suggestion that the Townsville paper change its slogan to "Reporting the news the Cowboys want to hear!".

Lockyer is good and may well be a distant second to Joey.

Well, I'm a QLDer through and through, although not a real die-hard football fan, I still like watching the origins (in lieu of nothing else decent on TV).
I dont know whats happened last few years but QLD has lost their spirit! There was a time when QLD was invincible in origins (and most other sports at national level for that matter, because of the QLD spirit that was ripe in thge sporting arena), but I guess the tide has turned...

Congrats to NSW... they are the better team at the moment because they want victory more. That first try off the goal post.. well QLD deserved to give that away. Pathetic effort. The QLD boys need some harder training, and why is Hagan coaching them? (only won 1 of the last 15 games he has coached - I think that's what they said) ?? One of QLD's downfalls is they let the attacking side come to them on every tackle... If you watch NSW, their defense looks more like an attack, and this is a large part of why they succeed. QLD hasn't done this for years now...

QLD still have the 3rd match to redeem themsleves and bring back some much needed honor, else who up here is going to care about the origin series next year?

Hmmmm..... I thought it was a forgone conclusion, I didn't even bother to watch the game.

The decider will be worth watching.
