Basic Chisel Rehab - Grinding
I'm nothing like an expert - as everyone should know
but I thought it was worth recording this ...
getting a largish chisel into some sort of shape.
The far wheel is a "normal" grey wheel (maybe 45-ish grit), and the near one that was hidden a white one (60? 80? grit I think)
Both AlOx afaik.
In particular, when I started trying to figure out sharpening - the best advice I got in the end was looking at the light reflecting at the edge ... but the word descriptions of that hadn't put me in the picture. It was when I started sharpening gouges that that really struck home. So I tried to show the edge here.
Cheers,
Paul
