header for cavity slider
Hi,first post - long time lurker.Im installing a cavity slider (820mm door) unit its a hume doors statesman model. The wall its going in has no load on it at all not even ceiling so the only load above the door is a few hundred mm of gyprock and its frame.Im guessing it doesnt need much of a header over it (would you call it a lintel?) but i would like some advice on how big it should be.Ive got plenty of hardwood that were the studs in the wall so i thought i could reuse 1 or 2 of those as the header. Is that going to be enough? Thanks for any advice.
