buying on Ebay
I saw this on another forum and thought I might repost the relevant portion here as some others may find it as revelating as I did.
I take it it's genuine. He doesn't mention whether she was awarded costs?

"I placed a bid for a pushbike that looked ok in a picture
and I won the bid ,exellent so far .
When I went to pick up the bike it was a piece of crap it was used for downhill racing and it was severely trashed it was not worth the $2300 bucks she advertised as the minimum bid .
So I refused to buy it on the bases that she misrepresented the item
and not stating that the bike was used for .
I informed EBay and they tried to have a disputed resolved .
After they de registered her and kicked her out for misleading advertising .
She sued me and guess what ... she won .
Based that the contract for Ebay is a legally biding contract and you must comply .
Well so before you place a bid on something make sure you see it first
and make 100% sure that you know what you are buying."__________________________________________
