Default Cheapest way to get mulch

Just general ground covering mulch to put on large areas, maybe 15cm deep. I have uneven lumpy ground areas with trees that would really benefit from the look and water save.

Who has had reall cheap mulch delivered, and how do you go about getting it? I would need at least 6, and could take up to 10 cubic metres.

your local tree lopper and grinder usualy has to pay to dump it at the council tip... ask them if they'd like to drop it off at your place instead.

Chipped wood is good mulch... just have to add some high nitrogen fertiliser. It is so high in carbon that it tends to 'rob' the soil of nitrogen.

I find the cheapest mulch is to grab a contractor that is chipping trees in the area and give them a slab of beer if they drop a load off at your house.
I have had many loads ot this price.
