Steel Deck Slab
I am planning a house in a high termite area. We have decided to build a high with car and storage under the house. We are planning to dig down about 1.5 m and then have the house 1.5 m above ground level - using the excess soil to build up the surrounding area.
Now assuming that we have the moisture problem sorted out -we think we have - we want to have a slab on a steel deck. Has anyone got any experience in doing this? How does it work out for cost? We were thinking of polishing the slab for the floor.
Any thoughts or experiences that will help?
Base cost of concrete for small lots is $155 in this area (without negotiation yet).
Thanks
Rob
