Painting MDF B.I.R Doors
Not much of a painter so I thought I'd seek some advice.
We have recently had buit in robes installed, MDF routed doors which are quite high at 2.7m
We have had a quote to paint all 8 @$120 a pop, totallying $960. A lot of money for a few slaps of paint particularly with the a bub on the way
Now I'm thinking of doing it ourselves to cut costs.
Was wondering if anyone had some advice on painting MDF routed doors. The missus thinks we should just roller them with brush painting in the grooves. I thought perhaps a spray gun might be the go.
Also, we originally thought getting them done professionally (*cough*) would be better for longevitiy, less chance of warping, etc., but the 10 yr warranty from the robe manufactor doesn't stipulate the need for pro painters.
Really appreciate some feedback.
