    Default Macrocarpra movement

I've been comparing properties of huon pine to macrocarpra which has lower shrinkage than huon.

I cannot locate any info on macrocarpra movement.

    Huon Pine Movement
Between 25% and 5% MC, radial movement is
approximately 0.14% per 1% MC change; tangential
movement about 0.27% per 1% MC change.

Anyone got an idea of the movement of macrocarpra?
(I don't really feel like doing a control test but if necessary...)

The figures I have aren't in exactly the same format.

But they are shrinkage from green to 12% (NZ air dry)

    Tangential 3.3%
    Radial 1.6%

Either way the shrinkage is VERY low, the stuff air dries easily and doesn't move much as long as it's straight grained.

Kilning is more tricky and need to be very slow and low temp to prevent internal collapse.

Because the macrocarpa isn't a commercial species in most of the world you dont find much info about it on the net.
