Colourful Questions
Hi all,
I've been wondering.... I've seen references to an "orange forum" and also to sending someone a "greenie", which is obviously a compliment of sorts.
Would someone please enlighten those of us wots not too bright, i.e. me,
as to what these colourful conundrums are all about please
Cheers,
Papillon.

The orange room is the
OPEN SLATHER (closed forum password required)
Uncensored Forum. May contain material offensive to some members. Enter at own risk. CLICK HERE to request your password. May take 24 hrs
Found in the NOTHING AT ALL TO DO WITH WOODWORK section
And a Greenie or Reddie is to add to a users reputation by clicking on under the users name on the left off their post where you can approve or dissaprove of their post
To check out your reputation click on User CP located on the Navigation bar at the topLast edited by DJ’s Timber; 2nd October 2007 at 12:17 PM. Reason: add more info

Greenies? They're the reputation points. To the left of every post, there's the poster's avatar and at the bottom of that there's three icons: a round button to show whether someone's on- or off-line, a set of scales and the "report post" button. The scales allow you to award a greenie for what you think is a good post, or a reddie for a bad - you can (and should) attach short comments describing why you've awarded the rep point.
To view any rep points you've received, go to ythe UserCP page and they should be viewable there under Latest Reputation Received. You may need to click on the little icon to the far right of the title to "expand" the pane if it has been "collapsed."
Just 'cos I'm a nice guy I'll send you a greenie so we both know at least one rep point should be visible there.
How to explain the Orange room? Hmmm... let's say that at school, there's always the group who head down behind the shelter shed to sneak in a cigarette or a swig or two. Or at parties, there's always a small crowd hovering around the bathroom for similar reasons.
Here at UBeaut, we have the Orange room. It's a password protected section to cater for those of less "publicly permissible proclivities." Not , mind, that's frowned on in any form here. But that doesn't mean it can't get a bit risque in there.
Some would say it's an "adult area" but I think it's best described by a misquote: "They ain't Messiahs! They're just very naughty boys."
Edit: ruddy DJ. [mutter, mutter] That'll teach me to answer the door in the middle of a reply.

I learnt something today and I was very surprised to see I have some greenies. I'll have to start sending them to all the helpful people here.
When I first saw someone saying that he was going to send a greenie or a greenie is on the way I thought it was a joke about some tree hugger coming to your house to give you an ear bashing on the evils of using wood.

Thanks DJ & Skew for clearing that up, and a greenie is on it's way to both of you for your prompt and courteous help.
I suspected the Orange room was either the open slather or drivel forums, but for the life of me I couldn't work out the greenie.
But now another question arises from your answers. (See that's what happens when you help a sticky beak, they never leave you alone)
Is it possible to see other peoples reputations or only your own?
Or does that little green meter bar thingy under your info move according to how naughty or nice you have been.
Cheers,
Papillon.

Hi Wheelin,
Glad I'm not the only one who was in the dark.
You better fit some racing slicks on ya wheels mate, you've got a lot of greenies to deliver I reckon.
Cheers,
Papillon.
