    Default First ever post anywhere.

Hi All, My name is Les and it's an exciting time for me in Angaston at the moment. Not least because this is the first ever post I have made anywhere. I have never been a member of any forum. I am a professional firefighter and have been for 27 years. I am also a qualified carpenter and did my apprenticeship 35 years ago. I have worked in the building game off and on since joining the fire service and have skills in formwork, 1st and 2nd fix, roofing and joinery. It's also exciting at the moment because I have recently demolished my old stone house and am rebuilding it biggerer and betterer to house my growing tribe. I have visited this forum on a few occasions when searching for advice or checking my own knowledge for innacuracies. I have joine because I have sourced help from here and would like to return the favour if possible. I have also noticed that there is a certain amount of twisted humour present. I thoroughly approve of this!

Welcome Firewood, as you have already said, there is a wealth of knowledge and talent here.
Twisted humor, without a sense of humor, we would all be in the looney bin or out of it depending on your point of view.

Dont forget the WIP pics of your KDR
The person who never made a mistake never made anything

    Cheers

P.S.Don't worry too much about the house, just make sure you build a nice big shed.

G'day everyone and thank you for the replies. I would like to post a few pics of the work in progress but am having a bit of trouble working out how to do this. If someone could let me know how it's done, I'd be most grateful. And to Peter - The shed is 60 feet by 30 feet and all of my 3 phase machines live there. So do I most of the time. I find it difficult to think properly without beer and shed...

Default Welcome Les and what a top spot!

Welcome Les to the forum, I'm only a mug, might be you teaching me I reckon! The boss and I had a 2 week holiday recently, when recovering from a nasty bout of prostate cancer. Spent all our time wandering around the Clare and Barossa, based at Angaston in a cabin. Tanunda, Kapunda, Angaston, Clare, Seppeltsfield and the like, just magic.
How's the old tree where the bloke raised a heap of kids living in the tree?
Welcome again, cheers, Harry ( Redbog)

Harry you are quite right. It's a great place to live. You are talking about the Herbig tree out at Springton I reckon. Hard yakka in those days. Thanks Crowie, I'll start another post in the appropriate place and have a go. I was just reading in the forum about how to upload when I saw your reply. Well done and thank you.
