need help to find some aluminium strips / flat bar
<!-- / icon and title --> <!-- message --> Hey all.
am working on a project and need to find some aluminium strips / flat bar
Bunnings have a decent product range (they have the large stand shown at the bottom of the following link on display)
http://www.rcr.com.au/metalmate/catalogue.php?subid=9
This display does not have the size I need for one of the strips.
I need ~20mm (or 3/4") wide by 1mm thick (this is critical) by at least a meter or so long
Bunning have the same thing but the strip is 1.6mm thick which isn't suitable (I've tried)
They have the 25mm wide by 1mm thick but no smaller widths in this thickness.
Anyone have any sources for this stuff? I'm in Melb if it helps.

Cheers IanSome People are like slinky's,
They serve no purpose at all,
but they put a smile on your face when you throw them down the stairs.

I have always used Capral. They have a good range and I think extrude profiles for many of the retailers.

Find a local sheet metal shop and get them to guillotine some strips off some sheet.

Wot Barry said. Bunnies can sell you a small sheet of 1mm ally & a pair of tin snips.
Road signs are too thick & too hard. Ditto Boeing jets
