Help wanted with AS 1684 please.

Hiya, I'm after the latest copy of AS 1684, I've been to this website:

and there are a lot of versions of it (some with amendments etc). Which one is current? I live in Melbourne, so a non cyclonic area but I'd just like some help in determining which version I need to buy (I was thinking it might be AS 1684.4-2006, that one with the purple cover).

AS1684.2-2006 is the latest for non cyclonic.

They go like this:

.1 Design (gives the design procedures and design limits for all timber elements)
.2 Non Cyclonic (has design tables and all the information)
.3 Cyclonic (has design tables and all the information)
.4 Simplified (is a summary of .2 but doesn't have everything. May be easier for a non builder)

1684.2 seems like the go then. Thanks for that will pick up a copy this week.

If you need any assistance with it just ask. What is your need? See if it comes with the design table CD. I have never bought one and have online access so I don't know if the tables come with it but they are quite important as they give you all the sizes.
