G'Day from Tassie
G'day from Tassie. I'm very new to this site and just as new to woodworking. Tend to have a crack at most projects around the house/property and then do research on how to combat problems faced! I've got a couple of questions straight off the bat to ask, please direct me to the right sub-forums if hear isn't the place to ask...
I have been in search of a tenon cutter and for the life opf me cannot find one like the one we used to use college. The only ones I have found are to attach to drills, and quite expensive and others are quite old. We used to use a blue handled one, that I was told about 20 years ago cost about $60? There are no pictures anywhere to post to help, except if you know anything abouth coffee makers it looked like the handle bit you put the coffee in haha!
Anyway, any help much appreciated - I'll start checking out the rest of the place.
Cheers!

Welcome to the forum.
Might be worth posting your question in the General and Small Machinery part of the forum.

G'Day & Welcome to a top forum "TwoToes".
There are quite a few members in Tassie as well as across the whole country & the world.
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP [work in progress] photos with build notes.
Enjoy the forum.
Enjoy your woodwork & setting up the new shed.
Cheers, crowie
PS - May I suggest that you ask the question in a couple of the forum subsections to gain a wider audience to answer.....
try general woodwork, hand tools could be a start!!
