Some excitement!!!!
Well there you go. Was outside temding to my dying plantings this morning and heard a barrage of sirens and then squealing tyres and a thud. Car running from the cops, I expect it was stolen, and the bloke did a runner.
He scaled an eight foot colourbond fence on the hop and off into a neighbours shed. The cops followed but seemed to be a little lost so I yelled that he went into the shed. In they go with guns drawn and after a short scuffle and a couple of crashes out they came with this bloke swearing and cursing. He looked in my direction and said with some colourful wording that I should go fornicate myself and that my parents were never married. The cops gave him a clip under the ear and that was that.
After a while one of the chasing cops came over and thanked me for not letting them split up. He was carrying a switchblade, so alone it would have been a bit more worrisome. As a thanks and a bit of a treat he said I could take my young fell in to the cop shop and get a bit of a tour. I think he might like that.
Anyway I gave a statement and all is now back to normal. I just was thinking what would have occured had he jumped my fence. I have a five year old and a four month old, I am not sure I would have been too happy for him to get in my house as a way out. Just makes you wonder.....If you are never in over your head how do you know how tall you are?

Well done.
I don't know if you heard about the car chase in Brisbane this week. A girl (14 I think) was crossing the road outside her school and was collected by a car the police were chasing. She died.

Take them up on the tour offer, it's not often they get a response like you offered and I'm sure the young bloke will love it.
They will spoil him rotten too and probably show him what you've been up to on their computer.
Happened to me when daughter went in.....'and your Dad has 2 tickets for speeding, and Mum has a couple as well..........
All with a grinStupidity kills. Absolute stupidity kills absolutely.

Poor old coppers cop a bit of a caning, mate of mine was telling me when he got out of college he was sent to a Primary school to address the kids.
During his presentation he showed them the radio and gave a demo, as arranged, he spoke to the station seargeant who then spoke to all the kids, along the lines of, 'are you all being good' positive response, 'good, now constable xxx (to protect the poor bugger who is now a Snr Sgt) is going to sing Hector the Cat for you'.
If anyone remembers Hector the Cat, the pedestrian crossing safety campaign that was run years ago.Stupidity kills. Absolute stupidity kills absolutely.

My sheds so untidy at the moment that if that bloke had entered into it he would probably given himself up to save getting any serious injury.

Well done Doughboy! A bit of excitement to remove some excrement. I wonder what he did to get the police so excited? Whatever it was you're lucky you pointed him out or you may have found stuff missing and possibly your car taken and torched. Good riddance to him.

I was going into a fruit shop once just to buy one nice juicy peach when this idiot came bursting through the door with a bag of taters. Someone in the shop was yelling so I punched this idiot in the throat. Dropped like rock. I got a bag of free peaches.
PS: Nice work Doughboy...what do you want on your headstone..If you never made a mistake, you never made anything!

Onya Doughboy! Good work. It might have easily been your fence and your shed (or house). Illegitimae non carborundum (don't let the
ba%#$#s wear you down ).Cheers,

Doughboy - you really did do the right thing - even by the toe-rag offender. IF the cops had split up & he pulled the knife on one of them - well -I- would have ventilated the little bar-steward if I was caught in a shed with a knife weilding nutter.
As for the fence problem - locals in Carbramatta (Sydney crime hotspot) got the dirts with the local crims jumping their fence while running from the cops, so they got a couple of tins of grease & put a liberal inch or two along the capping of the fence. I believe there were a few surprised & sore crims taken in until they learnt to avoid the area. And it stops Pigeons & Indian Mynahs landing on the fence too.
