Router table build
Here is my new router table in progress from a converted toy box, frame made from 70x45 sized smaller due to bunnings quality, top is. 35mm Formica bench top for the princely sum of $16, IKEA. Edging is unknown hard wood, track from McJings, Sherwood plate from Timbecon, nasty routering job on the recess, Triton (due to chuck coming loose on my last pass). Fence from $10 - 1/4 sheet form ply, bunnings.
the fence will have a pivot pin on left hand side to allow a micro adjuster clamp on the right. Only needing to move 1 part not 2.
Painted white as I had a tin of ceiling paint with Microban, which I need as too much moisture, not enough air flow where I live. The front opening needs a tidy up before I build the internals for the drawers etc.

Below shows close up of the loose chuck disaster, I know it’s not going to affect any routering but would’ve been nice to been clean all round. Fixing the router is another story.

Looks good so far. Shame about the wobbly edge but you should be able to fill the gap up with some body filler and then trim it back again. A little strategically placed paint and you won't notice (or at least no one else will unless you point it out).
What do you think of the Router plate as I'm considering one myself. Obviously you haven't used it yet to get a true feel.Dallas
