Building Deck - Hit Rock
Hey guys
I am building a deck that has 20 holes for pryda stirrups (300mm long) attached to bearers. I was hoping to go 300mmx300mm and 600mm deep but I have hit rock on about half of the holes. It is pretty solid and will probably need something heavy duty to dig through it.
I can get to about 300mm deep and was wondering as the rock seems pretty solid could I just make the holes wider (say 500mmx500mm) and leave it at 300mm deep, or would it just cause me headaches down the track?
The deck is 4.0m x 4.5m and will sit about 250mm off the ground.
Thanks
