    Default Blackwood Dining Table

    Hi everybodies,
This is a 1.8m x 1.0m Tassie Blackwood dining table, finished in Hard Burnishing Oil.
The client wanted a "floating top", so I used three struts to hold the top in place and bolted the top on through these bearers and into the top.

    Regards,

    Rob

Very nice work Bob, love the top.

Just a reminder about the hazards of working with blackwood, particularly if anyone is unaware.

The saw dust from blackwood can cause serious lung problems, so make sure you wear a dust mask when working with it.

Did you use slotted holes for the bolts holding the top?
