    Default tolerance in bearers

Hi, am setting hyspan bearers onto timber stumps, interested to know how level they should be. Should they be within 2 or 3mm or is 5mm acceptable?
    (150 x 63 bearers, 17 metres long, over 9 stumps)
Haven't bolted them yet as theres a slump of 4mm in one place and about 2 to 3 in another area. Thanks.

5mm over 17 m would be fine, but 5mm between stumps might be pushing it a little, 2-3 between stumps should be ok. (The better you can get it here, the less hassles later).

A mate of mine is a fussy builder.
he uses a dumpy to set his floors at all stages.

he realy likes to get 2 to 3 mm over the whole floor ( likes) if he cant get better than 5mm he gets all bitter and twisted. ........

then again i've been into places where you can feel it under your feet that you are walking up & down hills

the flatter your floor the better everything else fits

    cheers
