Douglas Shaper Vise Photographs

I hadn't expected you to pull it apart - but that does make everything much easier to relate to.
Andre, if you come up with some good ideas for components, let me know. I'll do the same. Have to give it all a bit more thought.

Gee Bob, couldn' t you be a bit more thorough?
I like the countersunk screws for the sliding jaw retaining plates. Is that your mod?
Mine has hex head bolts, and there's not much clearance for the 2 other bolts that attach the swivel base. Your one would make it nice and easy to adjust with less chance of scratching things.
