tiles or skirting boards first?
I am having a new room built on a concrete slab.
I am going to tile the floor myself.
Should I get the builder to leave the skirting boards, and do the tiles first?
Or should I tile up to them?
Thanks
Mark

I skirted then tiled, though the skirting was a large profile. Have you tiled before? It's harder to hide the gaps if you tiles aren't 100% perfect when wacking skirting over the top.
Another option is to tile, then trim the bottom of the skirting so that it has a 15 or so degree angle on it so the 'sharp' end is on the face, makes it a little easier to hide gaps atop uneven floors/tiling.
