Free home made cantilever timber rack. Pick up Towradgi
Hi all,
Probably tempting to just disassemble, but it has lasted 12 or so years, way overloaded, without a hint of failing, so why not see if someone can use it.
Free to a good home, is a home made set of four cantilever storage racks.
The racks are made from recycled hardwood framing, coach bolts and coach screws. It stands around 1.8m tall with the three arms around 500mm long. I stored long sections also on the base pieces.
I had the rack set for an overall span of around 3 metres, but space the sections as you need. As seen in the photo, I only had one brace across the top arms. I'd suggest cross braces be added for extra peace of mind.
Even though they'd -clumsily - sit on a roof rack, a trailer or ute would be better as each section is quite heavy.
Pickup from Towradgi.
Thanks for your interest.
