    Red face Sorry to ask....

    Well I have been asking questions about a few things to do with my house and I have been reading posts, starting to get the feel for the forum and I keep coming across the BB and SWMBO?
    Guys can you please explain what they mean?

    BB=Big Brother????

    SWMBO= ???

    They are probably really simple and I might regret asking this tomorrow LOL

    The term 'grammar nazi' was invented to make people, who don't know their grammar, feel OK about being uneducated.

    sic

    this means that a quote given has retained its original spelling, particularly if it has a mistake in it.

    et al
    this is latin for "and others" you will see this when references are given to books that are written by a number of authors. Usually the first author is given and the others just get "et al"

    sp
    I think this is an abreviation for "spelling"
