GMC TS 720 blade replacement advice please
Hi all,
I have a GMC TS 720 tablesaw. For those who don't know, its a rather small unit.
I just discovered that one of the tips of the blade had broken off.
The manual says it uses a 205mm diameter blade.
my problem is, i can't seem to find one on that size.
I have seen 210mm and 184mm diameter.
what I would like to know is will a change in the diameter be a problem to the machine?
I can imagine the 184mm might, but not sure about the 210mm.
I figure as long as the extra 5mm doesn't connect with the blade guard or anything else, it should be ok. Would this be a correct assumption? Are tablesaws usually balanced or anything to a specific size blade?
Thanks
Vince

As you say, provided the slightly larger blade will not contact anything around its diameter, you will be fine. The size of the blade will not have any influence on balance etc, and 5mm is a very minor increase in diameter.
