Horizontal Pergola Construction
Hi all,
Looking at designing a pergola with all rafters and edge beams to remain horizontal. - Approx 2.8m high fixed back to existing gutter.
All rafters/edge beams to be same size. ( I was previously quoted with 190x30 LOSP).
I was also quoted 90x90 for columns.
Roof sheeting to be pitched back to existing roof.
I am looking at using the Makrolon product which I understand has standard lengths of 1050mm, and is fixed directly to the horizontal rafters with clips/brackets.
My question is - How is the roof pitched back to the roof if my rafters are to remain horizontal and are the same size? Are these packed out or are the beams are the chamfered across the top or something? Minimum pitch is 5 deg.
i have attached images for reference (what I have submitted to council)
Thanks.
