Line voltage reading 110v AC. Stumped.
Hi,
I am upgrading a ceiling light fixture in a house (c.1930s) where there have been several reworks performed over the years and I have never seen so many lines running into one simple fixture.
I wont get into the details of the wiring at the moment but one (of 3 lines) running into the fixture reads 110v AC (the other two are twisted and read 240v AC).
What on earth is the 110v line? Is it something perhaps to do with the circuit breakers on the switchboard?
I am really scratching my head over this one.
Thanks for any ideas
Rod
