    Default Sheoak Danish Oil

Hi Just finished a sheoak kitchen bench top and coated with about 5 coats of danich oil, wet rubbed with steel wool. Very happy with finish but wifey left a sponge on it and it has left a pale patch. Are there bettre brands of danish oil or is this the wrong type of finish for this application

Sheoak looks fantastic with Danish but personally I wouldn't use Danish on a bench top as as you would have to redo the bench about every year.

    See also here.

FWIW, from The organoil site, information about their Danish Oil:
"Internal (only) woodworking, furniture, joinery and other non-traffic feature timbers such as wall/ceiling panelling and exposed beams. NOT for FLOORING or BENCHTOP use."

    Danish
