What spindle and what VFD do you have?

If you are running a VFD and 3phase spindle motor, there is a explanation of the relationship between VFD output frequency and RPM in post 3 here, which I prepared for SAISAY 10 days ago. For this setup, for a theoretical 2000RPM max speed, you would be limiting VFD output frequency to around 33HZ, way too low. Otherwise there is an issue with the arithmetic being used, or you are using some other type of drive/controller.
I used to be an engineer, I'm not an engineer any more, but on the really good days I can remember when I was.

sorry everyone
a bit more info on my part would be better
the spindle is a 0.8kw water cooled and the VFD mod# is HY1d523D
220-1.5kw
i believe we have the frequancy set at 400hz
hope this helps a bit more
cheers Tony

Ok
You probably mean the HY01D523B
In which case you need to follow the settings that have previously been published in the Huanyang newbie thread.Bob Willson

It will be a setting issue. If your confused about the settings from the other thread, please post a table with your settings so we can help you pin point the problem. post only what you have changed as there are over 150 values in total.
WARNING
The air cooled units which your unit is will required 120Hz to be set for one of the min values instead of 100Hz, otherwise "you will burn out the VFD".

bingo
i knew i wrote my settings down , but could not find the instrution book for my VDF
last night at 2am i woke up and knew where i put it , sticky taped to the top of the VDF's upside down draw ???good spot for it
so since we bought the same machine , and i clicked on your link when you bought your VDF off ebay 1 week later than you
so here go's , my settings , from a factory start up ??? i dont know if you have changed any numbers not listed
PD001 1 > source of run , 0=operator , 1= external , 2 comm port
PD005 400 >max operating frequency 50-400
PD004 400 >base frequency 0.01-400
PD003 400 >main frequency 0-400 ,
PD006 2.5 >intermediate frequency 2.50-3.0
PD008 220 >max voltage 220-388
PD009 15V >intermediate voltage
PD010 8V >min. voltage 0.1-50
PD011 50HZ > frequency lower limit 0-400
PD142 7 >RATED MOTOR CURRENT !!!!!!this will be differnt if you have a 0.8kw!!!!!!!!!!!
PD143 4 >motor pole number
PD144 3000 > rated motor revolution 24000
I reread the huanyang page about 4 x writing this down in my manual , set the settings and it worked , 1 havent touched them since , full 24,000RPM but i only go to a max 18,000 rpm ?? i dont know why im just like that , why thrash it ???
cheers ken
just read your post , my 6545 came with a 1.5kw spindle , mines 80mm dia , not too shore on the 0.8kw i think there 65mm - 70mm???how come a 10mm peg dont fit in a 10mm hole

Only PD142 which should be set as per the motor size, which should be 6.5 amps

Have just been out to the shed, and have been totally confused. Nothing on the vfd agrees with my workbook, the registers all begin with PD and NOT CD, and none of the readings bear any resemblance. I now remember that the original vfd had issues, Chai refunded the price and I bought a new one somewhere.
I have deleted my earlir post, as it could be dangerous for someone if they used the settings. As soon as I can, I will make a new workbook to suit my current unit, and will record my settings again. I will post this when complete.
Sorry for any confusion that I have sowed.Chris
