Default Christmas day out with the missus

I was thinking of taking the missus out on Christmas Day
and booked a table for two at the "Wallan Club".

It's bound to end in tears though; she is not very
    good at snooker.

She could slip her arm out of the sling for a little while.

Well seeing as how you already suspect that you may be in a bit of trouble, why no plan ahead and have a nice gift ready for her - just in case the snooker doesn't go down well. Maybe a new iron or a microwave oven.....

I got sick of sitting around doing nothing - so I took up meditation.

I have already bought her an iPod for her birthday, and iPad for
our anniversary ... would it be in order to buy her an iRon for Christmas.

No, but you could get her an i(vacuum)Clean(er) so you could also use it in the workshop. But make sure it's white.

Val may not like snooker Allan but I think by now anything would be better than your cooking a Christmas dinner.

Hope she is on the improve.

She is on the improve Ray to the stage where she
can now give orders to me with both arms.

You would have been better off buying a new house. You would have had more time in the shed then
