Garden shed design
Hello, reasonably experienced and capable DIY carpenter here with a question.
I am designing a garden building for Brisbane conditions as follows:
concrete slab with j- bolt anchors
5810 x 2840, walls 1.8
gable roof pitched at 30deg (12/7)
galvanised iron roofing
pine weatherboard ext cladding, nothing inside
1/3 shed, 1/3 open storage area.
Could someone advise the most economical pine stud wall design, ie timber dimension and spacing. The pine framed roof will have a small eave, probably make it standard ridge board and rafter design with collar ties and batons as i did this successfully for a gazebo with tiled roof.
I am guessing that 90x45 MGP10 T2 treated frame at 600 centres will be okay with rafters 150x35.
i have access to the AS design tables and will check these out as well.
My nail gun takes 3" nails, in case that affects anything.
cheers
duncan
