We are currently in the middle of a kitchen reno. Managed to source the glulam for the kitchen bench ourselves (one joinery quoted us $7500 to make the bench!!!!!) our builder and carpenter have done a beautiful job of making the bench - for a LOT LESS than $7500 - about $900 all up.

We've decided to use a danish oil to finish the benchtop.

We have some leftover pieces of glulam. My husband reckons one of the pieces would make , his words, a "killer cutting board". What finish should we use on a piece of glulam to make it safe to use as a cutting board? Or should we just forget it?
