Swapping Doors
Gday all im after some help on some renos i would like to do to my wet area. I live in a house that was built in 69 that is brick veneer, and the laundry door was an old slide thing until i fitted a proper door on hinges about 3 years ago. I would like to now remove that door and wall section and fit a glass sliding door, now this is for a couple of reasons
1) is because we are adjusting room sizes inside the wet areas to allow us to have more room inside the bathroom and move a couple of walls around.
2) is to allow more light into the room and to that end of the house.
ok, now i have been told the best thing to do is to pull off the internal walls and see how much is involved in pulling that section out without comprimising the support for the roof, then support roof where necessary to allow removal of wall to allow installation of new door frame.
I know i have tried to sum up so much in a small post but hopefully someone understands what i mean and can offer some advice as to what to look out for and some tips and getting me thru this.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Lilsen
