Default Is it possible to insert a table in a forum post ?

Leave it alone, please! smart arses!
I know some with little to do may have a field day with the heading but

I promised the guys on the metalwork forum some info on GMA (mig) welding

The pages are starting to turn into War and Peace.
I can make them easier to read if if the information can be presented in a tabular form.

    Thank you
    and merry xmas

Convert the table to an image file (jpeg, gif etc) and just upload it as an attachment.

Print the document to a PDF file and then attach it or post a reference to it on another server.

You can copy and paste tables from web site. The editor doesn't allow tables directly.

You could create a table in word with your data in it. Do a 'Save As' and select the file type of 'Web (*.htm, *.html)

Open the file in a web browser, select and then copy the table and then paste it in here.

I reckon that if I can get a floppy into those tiny li'l bloody slots I can easily fit a table into a post.

If not, I can fit a post into the lathe et voila! A table. Albeit very small. Dolls house furniture anyone?

In a worst case scenario, assuming your PrtScr button no longer functions (ain't it amazing the "improvements" M$ has come up with to deprive us of functionality? Like this and XP SP2, where they remove certain connectivity options unless you pay for their "optional upgrade kit." PTUI!) there are plenty of free screen capture proggies out there.

The best work from a hotkey (dunno why they don't default to the PrtScr key... probably the same reason that the SysReq and Break buttons rarely work any more. And yes, they're still included as part of a default 102 key keyboard. Just look more closely. ) and also have a lasso function.

Just display the table on-screen in whatever SW you're using, hit the hotkey and "lasso" what you want captured. The results sre usually saved as a .BMP or .JPG somewhere (read the associated dox) and can easily be uploaded as a graphic attachment.

I may be weird, but I'm saving up to become eccentric.

I'm on XPP SP2, and both PrtScr and Alt +PrtScr work okay. Maybe your keyboard is duff.
